 Dr. Stephen C. Gurza founded The Brace Place over 25 years ago and has been successfully serving the communitites of Scarborough, Thornhill, and Toronto ever since. He is also a clinical demonstrator in the Orthodontic Department at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry.
Background & Education
Dr. Gurza completed his dental degree at the University of Toronto in 1978. He was awarded the Alpha Omega Undergraduate Scholarship Award and the Pro Liberis Orthodontic Award for excellence in academic and clinical achievements. In recognition for outstanding academic performance, he was elected to the honour dental society Omicron Kappa Upsilon. Dr. Gurza went on to attend the graduate program at the University of Toronto and completed his specialty orthodontic degree in 1981, the same year he founded The Brace Place.

He is also experienced in orthodontic treatment with other proven technologies including: ceramic braces, iBraces™, gold braces, the latest techniques in traditional metal braces, and craniofacial (jaw) orthopedics.
